Wind-power generators
In wind-power generators, the various joints in the foundations, the tower and the rotor are exposed to different forces. As a versatile system supplier, ITH is able to supply the perfect tool for each of these unequal requirements. The new ITH round nuts RMS/RMZ combine the functions of HV hexagon nuts and HV washers in one single product and are increasingly used in wind-power generators. The round nuts are used in combination with ITH bolt-tensioning cylinders (ITH stretch method) thereby achieving a more accurate joint. Steam and gas turbines
In the turbine industry, bolted joints are exposed to high temperatures over long periods of time. The threads are so highly stressed by the temperatures of up to 500°C that it is no longer possible to unbolt the joint by means of torque tools. Accurate tensioning and easy dismantling make the ITH Stretch Method to ideal solution.
